FOUR-Make sure floating is checked, this way you may move it around to find the best looking place. Click in the color box you filled and the large text color box will fill with this color. If it is white, it may be hard to see here, drag your mouse over the words to highlight them.

SEVEN-Now it is time to merge your picture.  After you have merged it, you will add borders.

FIFTEEN-Get your CROP tool, start in the top left hand corner, just down a hair from the top. Go all the way to the right, and then down to almost the bottom. Leave just a bit off the top and bottom. If you mess up just right click and start over till it looks right. Now double click inside of the box and you are done.

SIXTEEN-Now save your stationary as a JPG file. If it asks if you want to merge it, click yes. Remember where you save it because you will need to go get it from Outlook Express. In Outlook Express, click on the small arrow next to NEW MAIL, then SELECT STATIONARY. When the box pops up click on CREATE NEW, then click BROWSE. Here is where you go to where you saved your stationary. (example C:\Pictures) Click on your stationary and open it

1 John 4:11 Since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another
1 Peter 1:22 Love one another deeply, from the heart
1 John 4:12 If we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

This a tutorial to make stationary with text inserted. We have used Paint Shop Pro 6.0 and Outlook Express.  We now use Paint Shop Pro 8.

ONE- Choose the image you would like to use. Resize it to look good on the side of stationary, longer than it is wide, and not too large. This image is 194 x 346 pixels.

TWO-Once you fix your picture to just the right hues and size, save it. Then if you want to start over you can, without loosing your original picture

THREE-Click on the DROPPER and pick a color out of your picture for the text, make sure it is a contrasting color, so the text will show up nicely. Once you find a color you like, right and left click to fill up both color boxes on the left. Click on the text tool and put the cursor over the picture close to where you want you text. You will have a chance to move it before it is set, so don't worry to much here. The image below shows how you can set the font, text color and text alignment. Just play with this until you get the effect you like.

FIVE-You can do text one line at a time, or all the lines at once like we did here. If you don't like it, you can always click undo, and start over. Press OK when you are thru

SIX-Once the text is FLOATING on your picture, click on the MOVER tool, and then click and hold it down and move it to where it looks best, and let go. Get the MAGIC WAND and right click, and the text will be set.

NINE-Now set the borders as follows. This will put borders only on the sides, so the stationary can fill up the entire page when you are thru.

ELEVEN-Once the border is highlighted, select IMAGE, EFFECTS, BUTTONIZE

BUTTONIZE each border. Then add borders again just as you did the first time, and BUTTONIZE them also the same.

THIRTEEN-Get your DROPPER, select a color you would want for the paper area, and right and left click to fill the color boxes. Get your MAGIC WAND and select the area. Get the FLOOD FILL bucket and click inside of the area.

Make sure the AUTO PROOF is selected and then play with the adjustments till you find what you like. If you don't like anything, just click CANCEL, and your stationary will be the same.

When you are satisfied with your paper, right click inside the area with the MAGIC WAND, and it will be set. Now you are ready to crop the stationary.

Now just follow the STATIONARY WIZARD and choose the font, color of font, margins and a name and you are done. Now its in your stationary file, and will be listed in your Outlook Express Folder. HAVE FUN MAKING STATIONARY!
